High technology, high brand and the excellent shows!!! (Journal 5)

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Form this class all of activities today were very interesting. There were two activities in this class.

First it is about the brand of Apple. Have you ever know about Apple? It is surprisingly that the teacher has shown their own apple products include IPOD and Mac book. There are all made from high technology and new innovative.

I used to know about the Apple company:  is an American multinational corporation that designs and markets consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computer. There are many product lines in this company include MAC, iPod, iPhone, iPad, iTunes and so on. Apple was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. As you can see now the market of this product had grown faster than another company. And here is the examples information that I would like to show you. Is it interesting?

Second it is about the show form many groups in my class, there are about business. From my group, we have shown about “Subtar Talent.”
There are two people that they want to audition with my company and they preferred they want to be a model and a singer. So we have committees that they would like to comment these two person auditions. It was many jokes and it is very fun because of my group. All groups that have shown today were very interesting and fun. We have fun together. And my teacher too I think. Some group made us more understanding in their brand positioning.

For those activities, everyone was fun and happy.

What do you wear? VS What do you think you wear? (Journal 4)

What do you wear?
VS
What do you think you wear?

I would like to ask you first, what do you think for those two questions? Are the same meaning?

Form this week we have to think about these two questions. In my opinion, the answer surely is No. it is about the concrete and abstract.

The answer of the first question is concrete and the answer of the second question is abstract. Why I said like this? If you think about it carefully, you will know what they referred to.

Form the first question, the answer is referred to the concrete thing that we have wear in several days such as shoes, skirts, t-shirts etc but the answer of the second question is referred to the abstract thinking. For example: if you buy jeans, what are the advantages or benefit from these jeans? And what do you think about these jeans? such as comfort, flexible, trendy, smart, modern etc.

Here are two question that you have to think when you have bought something and all of company have to think about their customers about it and make it in their own brand positioning.

Wants/Needs/Desires (Journal 3)

A luxury car, a big house, new trends of fashion: what else does human need to be happy?

The group of customers or consumers who will probably buy the product is known as the target market. I used to think how make they buy their products. And I know there are many factors that consumers use to decide to buy goods or products and the company attempts to match consumer needs or mold consumer desires to the product offered.

I would like to ask you first: what do you think about these words:Wants/Needs/Desires
Do you think they are the same meaning? The answer surely is No and Why?
Because if you think about the meaning of these three words, you will feel it has three states of feeling begin with Wants→Needs→Desires. Think about it.
From this week, there was something that I was interest in is about Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
There were four levels:

Basic needs: For the most part, physiological needs are obvious — they are the literal requirements for human survival. If these requirements are not met, the human body simply cannot continue to function.
Safety: With their physical needs relatively satisfied, the individual's safety needs take precedence and dominate behavior.
Belonging: After physiological and safety needs are fulfilled, the third layer of human needs is social and involves feelings of belongingness.
Ego-status: All humans have a need to be respected and to have self-esteem and self-respect.
Self-actualization: “What a man can be, he must be.” This forms the basis of the perceived need for self-actualization. This level of need pertains to what a person's full potential is and realizing that potential.

In my opinion, here it is the important theory that all consumers have to think before they buy something.

my reflection on Victoria's Secret

It is clever if some company has the specific positioning of the product but
not all of companies that has the greatest product positioning like
 Victoria’s Secret, Right?.

In the past, I don’t know about the underwear/ what are brands that the women always wear, what are colors that the women love but after I studied about the Victoria’s Secret in course ENG-380 English for International Trade, I have already known what the Victoria’s Secret is and why it was the greatest brand of women bras in the world. And now I strongly believe in the position of this brand “Victoria’s Secret”
There are many way that Victoria’s Secret has already shown that they think they were the best underwear of the world. You can see I said “it is about the global context”

In my opinion after I have already studied about this is Victoria’s Secret was an aspirational brand. With sexy supermodels, top-notch photographers, and bold advertising, it combined mass-market access with prestige products.

As you can see, I love the product positioning of Victoria’s Secret but I would not buy this product because I’m gentlemen.

Contributing the products (Journal 2)

The object of this competition is not to be mean to the losers but to find a winner. The process makes you mean because you get frustrated. Kids turn up unrehearsed, wearing the wrong clothes, singing out of tune and you can either say, "Good job" and patronize them or tell them the truth, and sometimes the truth is perceived as mean.Simon Cowell

Now I would like to say, it’s time to contribute our product of our own company. So we are the Chief Executive Officer. Try to imagine we are in the conference (in class). We had the excited activities:
What are the women’s bags…well men’s bags too?
We have to work in group of seven and explored our shopping lists. And then answer these questions “How many products are my group members are wearing or carrying today?”, “How many brand names and non-brand names?”, “Why do us wear (buy) such brands or products?” and “Who involves in producing the products?” (Everyone show their brand names belongings to the class). From these activities, it made us knew about the businesses over views and think for what I spent for.
After that we have to think what are really in women’s bags and men’s bags too. It is not concrete but it is the abstract inside for why we bought it. Such as Beauty, Prestige, Pride, Hope, Ambition, Achievement, Fantasy, Safety, Dignity, Difference, Success, Dream, Happiness, Equality, Perfect world and so on. We also have known that we wanted those products, we needed those products or we desired those products?
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is a must for this class because we can check which level of product that we wish to spend including Basic needs, Safety, Belonging, Ego-status and Self-Actualization.
And the last one that I like most is about the Victoria’s secret. I saw the lovely ladies wearing the Victoria’s secret fashion show on catwalk. It is so beautiful.

First Promoting the Company, First Trade (Journal 1)

In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins:  cash and experience.  Take the experience first; the cash will come later.  ~Harold Geneen
I always stare at the registration part in the ces website. If the registration part is opened, I won’t be late to click on register button for taking possession of an available seat in Eng-380 course. When I was a child, I always think what I should do those can make me rich. Here are about my joke plan that I ever made it.

First I should have 3 branches of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Second I should have 3 branches of Seven-Eleven. And the last one, I should have the large apartment for rent. Have you ever think about it?
So I love in business so much. There are many reasons that are why I always think about it. Include: I want to be a businessman because I want to wear a suit. It looks smartly. And the most important reason is I want my mom/dad and my brother have a great life/have everything that they want them/ have a good health/and happy with his/her life. Here those are why I want study in this course, not only this course but everything about the business in the global context.
For first time that I came to my company (first class), my honorary advisor Ajarn Adcharawan Buripakdi gave me the course syllabus and said what I have to do.
! Design the blog ! And think about my best brand name. How can I do this? I’m poor on the computer skill so I am afraid about the blog so much. But there would be somewhere I can then color it beautiful and unique because of two thing the intention and inspiration.
